    Why Karl Marx

One quick glance at Karl Marx’s curriculum vitae says a lot. Economist, philosopher, journalist, sociologist, political theorist. Historian. Add to that socialist, communist (in the original meaning of the word) and revolutionary, and that’s just a start. Karl Marx was one of the most respected minds of the 19th century. His meditations on how societies work, and how they should work, have informed and challenged humans for more than 150 years. Yet to the uninitiated, Marx may be only a bushy-mugged symbol of revolution, the Father of Communism, the hater of capitalism. He is considered by many, especially in the West, as the man whose ideas spurred on authoritarian communist regimes in Russia,…

HE MADE ME A GRADUATE- Icon Nixion Odimbu speaks

Let me simply say thank you Barr. Chiedu Joseph Ugbo for your unflinching love and limitless support throughout my University Education (Diploma/Degree). Opening my notepad to write you this piece, I have struggled about what should be the title. I thought i should say ‘EDUCATION’ or ‘LOVE’ as an attempt to unravel the phenomenal you have become yet I may not do enough because those that have defined ‘EDUCATION’ & ‘LOVE’ without your perspective might have committed intellectual sucide. Boundaries

People want you to share the amazing life you’ve created for yourself with them for free. They want your time, attention and affection at no cost. They want unlimited access to you as if they are entitled to these things. The choice to share one’s life with another should be out of one’s own free will and not because one was forced, shamed or cajoled into sharing. Being loyal, respectful, kind, trustworthy and thoughtful are the bare-minimum for the company of another. Why seek another if you have no intention of respecting them or adding value to their life? I think it’s out of selfishness, but isn’t selfishness a fundamental…

    Introversion Doesn’t Need a Cure

Human personality traits can easily be classified into two categories: Introverts and Extroverts. Although, no one is completely one or the other; we all exhibit some characteristics of both. Do not get me wrong, there’s more to human personality than just being an introvert or extrovert. This article is focused on “introversion” only, as I am Introvert, INFP-T to be precise and being one allows me to write from experience which gives the article a stamp of genuineness. It is certainly not easy being an introvert especially if you’re ignorant of your personality trait. Introverts are misunderstood most times. Sometimes, more often than not, our actions or body language are interpreted wrongly,…

Confidence is Silent. Insecurities are Loud!!!

Until we conquer ourselves we may never conquer the world and the best way to do that is to practice the art of self-mastery.“Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories.” – Sun Tzu I had errands to run, things I had been procrastinating for weeks. I always found an excuse to not do them, perhaps due to laziness or their triviality. But you know what they say; procrastinators eventually get tired. When I could no longer talk myself out of being an adult, I finally got out of my house and onto the streets. Some of things I had to do required human interaction while some…
